Fit in the Forest
Saturday, May 4th at 9:00 a.m.
Join us for GTC’s first fitness walk.
This will launch a series of monthly more vigorous walks in Greenwich town parks and protected woodlands. Enjoy the benefits of exercise along with the fresh air and beauty of our urban forests. Tree features will be highlighted throughout the walks. These walks will be guided by tree enthusiasts, not professionals.
Please wear suitable footwear and come dressed for the weather.
Space is limited and registration is required. We will be meeting in the parking lot of the Greenwich Botanical Center, in front of the main building.
Bruce Park Tree Walk
Saturday, May 18th at 2:00 p.m.
Bruce Park is one of the oldest and most coveted parks in Greenwich. Please join us for a walk through its natural beauty as we explore some of the majestic, historic and notable trees that make this place one of the top 10 best urban parks in the country. Lisa Beebe, Arboretum Curator of the Greenwich Town Arboretum will guide and educate participants on a tour of these spectacular trees.
Walking will be moderate, please come dressed for the weather.
